Helping put patriots in Congress
One of the main purposes of our website is to locate and promote constitutionally-minded congressional candidates.
If you know someone who is in a position to campaign for a seat in the U.S. Senate or House of Representatives, please submit that person's name below.
Please do not submit names or contact information for anyone without his or her permission.
Before submitting a name, carefully consider the qualifications that are necessary to launch a serious campaign. Hasty submissions can undermine efforts to locate serious candidates.
The following guidelines may be helpful:
• A candidate must be very familiar with the U.S. Constitution and be able to recognize and reject unconstitutional legislation.
• A candidate must be a person of integrity--honest, principled, and dependable.
• A candidate must be literate, reasonably well-spoken, and comfortable in front of large audiences.
• A candidate must be capable. Extensive political experience is not necessary (or even desirable), but some political background is necessary.
• Additionally, a candidate must be "electable," a trait which is difficult to define. Objectivity and a good dose of common sense are helpful when trying to gauge a person's electability. Most people would agree that a quick temper, a vulgar vocabulary, excessive tattooing, or a generally sloppy or unprofessional appearance are only a few examples of what might render someone unelectable.
Obviously, these character traits do not make a person "good" or "bad" and certainly do not determine anyone's worth as a person. These guidelines are meant only to help anticipate the strength of a potential candidate's campaign. Anyone seeking to represent hundreds of thousands of people will have to appeal to those people on a personal as well as political level.
Your thoughtful submissions are greatly appreciated.
