Helping put patriots in Congress

The following congressmen are currently receiving a "thumbs-up" from SaveCongress.org.

This does not mean that the congressman is perfect! It merely means that on certain recent, key pieces of legislation, he or she has voted in a way that is consistent with constitutional limits on congressional power.

Please note that this is only a preliminary assessment, based on very few criteria. As more extensive research is conducted, congressmen will be added or removed from this list.

We consider all congressmen innocent until proven guilty. While no two people are likely to agree on all issues all the time, some pieces of legislation are so blatantly unconstitutional that they serve as "litmus tests" for liberty-mindedness. Our assessments are based not on whether the congressman is likable or articulate, but on whether he or she has supported or rejected unconstitutional legislation--bills involving the federal government in areas in which the Constitution has clearly prohibited Congress from meddling.
